Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mothers out there! I hope you had a fantastic day and didn't have to raise a finger. Breakfast in bed, outings already planned, dinner organised, no fighting or arguing, washing done, cups of tea etc... QUOTE OF THE WEEK INSIDE THE CLASSROOM To support the Year Three classes, the students have been working on a Snakes and Ladders game (Penance Edition) that highlights using your conscience to make good choices and obviously sometimes not making the best of choices. Once they have finished, we will spend some time with the Year Three classes and play the games. A few very good examples are below.  SPEAK OUT Just a reminder that the 'Speak Out' presentations begin on Friday with the first 5 students presenting. For more information, please refer to the English folder in the Content Library on One Note. PROBLEM OF THE WEEK Have a go at this week's problem with your child. Welcome back to another week in paradise! I hope everyone managed to escape to their secret spot and enjoy the awesome run of weather we are having. I spent 3 days in the shapartment sealing the plywood walls and ceilings. It's definitely a job that I would highly recommend you all experiencing at least once in your life.  QUOTE OF THE WEEK ANZAC DAY SERVICE To those of you that came on Friday afternoon would agree at how well the students created an atmosphere that would have rivaled any Anzac commemoration. Great job 5J! WHEELIE, WALKIE, WASTE FREE WEDNESDAY If possible, please send your child to school with a waste free lunch tomorrow and each Wednesday for the rest of the term. It's a great initiative that instills sustainable behaviours in all of us. Another great way to get behind this initiative, is to walk or ride to school. If you are too far from school, walking from the church may be a way for you to partake.  INSIDE THE CLASSROOM We are continuing with our problem...

Welcome to the new Term!!! I hope you all had a fantastic break. Some of you may be aware that I have recently moved up to my block in Quedjinup. So happy to be up there, albeit in a caravan for now (hopefully only a week or two longer) before finally moving into the shapartment (shed - apartment). Managed to do my best Russell Coight impression on the weekend. QUOTE OF THE WEEK IMPORTANT REMINDERS Anzac Day Prayer Assembly 5J have put their hands up to run the Anzac Day Assembly for 2021. QUOTE OF THE WEEK IMPORTANT REMINDERS Swimming Carnival: As you may already be aware our Swimming Carnival will take place this Thursday 1st April at Margaret River Leisure Centre. The start time is 10am, please refer to school's previous email for further information. MESSAGE from MRS LEAHY -  Please help us construct Pre-primary Icebergs!!! Our Pre-primary science lessons have involved looking at how ‘the sun changes everything’. We are planning on finishing our unit by constructing 2 ‘icebergs’ in the pre-primary area to see how the sun effects one sitting in the sun and the other sitting in the shade. But we need your help…. We are asking every family in the school to bring iceblocks (made usin...

G'day all! What an awesome weekend we were blessed with. Hopefully you were out and about and enjoying the sunshine... QUOTE OF THE WEEK   5 J PARENT REPS 2021 A massive thank you needs to be extended to Kelly Sweet and Kim Archer who have put their hand up to be the class reps for the year. It would be great if we all offer our support as much as we can throughout the year because they are also the parent reps for one of the Pre-Primary classes. I think they both deserve a round of applause! PARENT / TEACHER INTERVIEWS I will be conducting parent interviews in Week 8 for those of you that would like to come in and have a chat. Each block is for 15 minutes, however, interviews are approximately 10 - 12 minutes long. This allows me a couple of minutes to get ready for the next interview. Please check your email for a shared 'live' document where you will be able to book your spot online. Please use your last name in the document. If you have any troubles, please let me know...

Howdy folks! What an awesome day yesterday! Pumping waves all day, light winds to enjoy a drink down at Yallingup in the evening and saw the International Space Station move through the sky at about 7:05pm. I hope you all had a great weekend! QUOTE OF THE WEEK SWIMMING LESSONS Swimming lessons started today and I have to say a huge thank you to you all for being extremely organised. A couple of points to ponder: 1. Students can wear thongs to and from the beach but will need to put shoes back on before going home. 2. We will have a snack at 12:00pm before leaving school at 12:20pm (you may want to pack something extra). 3. We have our lunch when we arrive back at school at 1:40pm. ALTAR SEVERS NOTE Your child should have brought a note home last week asking for volunteers to altar serve at our Parish Masses. In volunteering, your child will display a terrific sense of community and leadership to help Father Francis in this way. ALL children must return a note to indicate if they are in...
